NYE Party at PCI

Even as the beach balls dropped on the stroke of twelve, the PCI New Years Eve Party was already in full swing. Hundreds came out to spend the countdown on the pool deck with drinking, dancing and of course some treats from the kitchen.

Around Town: The New Dali

The buzz for the new Dali Museum in St. Pete has been percolating for sometime now, and with just one week until the grand opening, it’s almost hard to belieive it’s finally here.  An architectural marvel and certainly a crown in St. Pete’s artistic crown, the New Dali will double the floorspace of it’s predecessor and at a cost of 36 mil, has garnered international acclaim for both it’s exterior and interior accouterments. Maybe it’s the rumored grand spiral staircase in the foyer encapsulated by the gigantic, geodesic “Glass Enigma” or the fact that it’s the largest collection of his work outside of his native Spain, but it was even labeled one of the “Buildings You Have to See Before You Die” by AOL Travel. Next Tuesday the Museum opens it’s doors for to the public for the first time with a ceremony befitting of this momentous occasion.

The public is invited to view a surreal procession departing from the current museum at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at the new museum (8 blocks N at One Dali Blvd. Expect entertainment such as a dedication program with S.A.R. la Infanta Cristina of Spain, Duchess of Palma de Mallorca, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with Spanish Royalty presiding at 11a.m..The festivities will continue until 3 p.m., and while the procession, ribbon cutting and outdoor festivities are free and open to the public and you can be one of the first to experience one of the most comprehensive collections of Salvador Dali’s Artwork first hand with our Art Lovers Package shown below.

Art Lovers Package: From the Dali to the Chihuley, St. Pete boasts  a powerful collection of venues for the arts. So why not make the most of it with the “Art Lovers Package” which includes a room for you and a guest for a 2 night stay in a Garden Room of your choice, overlooking our own natural work of art in our manicured gardens, and 2 tickets to the museum of your choice.
