Hillbilly Hellfest
Dubbed Tampa bay’s biggest rockabilly event, Hillbilly Hellfest 2010 features a hot rod car show from 5 to 8 p.m., swing dancing and a whole string of bands to fill the night air. Cash O’Riley and the Downright Daddies, Chop Tops, Cadillac Bombers, Dive Bar Stalkers and The Gladezmen are all on the bill. Despite some threatening weather, the turnout was great for last weekend’s Beach Clean Up / Jack Johnson promo party at PCI. Jason Longoria played a double header, Surfrider Foundation got some support and libations were in high demand.

Saturday starting at 2pm, PCI will be holding a very special shin dig to help everyone get warmed up for the show this Wednesday and do a little something good while we’re at it in conjunction with Surfrider and JJ’s own “All at Once Campaign“. Thurday night some of the Postcard staff went up to Channelside to participate in the 2010 Bowling for Dreams charity tournament at Splitsville. Proceeds went to the Children’s Dream Fund and though there’s no word yet on how we fared, they sure seemed to be having fun.
